«Love Comes Quickly» is a deeply personal project for me. The original track by the Pet Shop Boys, released in 1986, immediately captured my heart, despite being a commercial disappointment. The melody and that unmistakable Chris Lowe bassline resonated with me on an emotional level like no other.
Reinterpreting this song was truly a labour of love. For the bassline, I used the Universal Audio plugin Opal, and for the second, I turned to the Synthesizer Expander Module by Cherry Audio. The lush strings come from Spitfire Audio and the BBC Symphony Orchestra, while the choir was created using the Arturia Solina. The brass also comes from Spitfire Audio, adding a rich, cinematic layer to the track. The vocals are my own, with some help from the Arturia Vocoder to achieve the desired effect.
The release now also comes with an additional extended version.
